Miley Cyrus on Mariah Carey: "I've never really been a fan"

In the October issue of Elle, Miley explains a comment she made to a contestant about how "not everyone can be Mariah Carey."

She explains, “I’ve never really been a fan, because it’s so much about Mariah Carey. That’s part of her shtick; I can see through that. [Mariah] has always been about what she’s wearing, and it’s all about her. What I make isn’t about me. It’s about sharing my story; it’s about someone being connected to what I’m saying.”

Miley stars in Woody Allen's first tv series, Crisis in Six Scenes, on Amazon. At the premiere of the series last night in NYC, Miley gushed to Vanity Fair magazine about how much she admires Woody. She has the highest respect for him because:

- Crisis in Six Scenes is a six episode half-hour comedy set in the 60s and it's basically a story about how people with very different backgrounds and ideas can cross paths, and how someone can come in and make you question everything

- Miley is playing a young hippie and sporting long hair

- Allen has previously declared he will not make a second season
