Can't shake it off: How Taylor Swift became a Nazi idol https://t.co/cFZ16B9hlp http://pic.twitter.com/SffZ61tdkx

- Apparently, Neo-Nazi's see Swift as an Aryan goddess who is just waiting for Trump to be elected so she can announce her true intentions with her music - to start a race war.
- Memes of Swift being a Nazi started as early as 'Teardrops on my Guitar', with a person by the name of Emily Pattinson falsely attributing Hitler quotes to Swift on Pinterest. These were supposed to make people laugh by showing that people will do no research before they share something. Swift's lawyers got involved and sent her a letter about defamation.
- A Facebook group called "Taylor Swift for Fascist Europe" has 18,000 likes. The creator of the page is entirely serious and identifies as a fascist. He thinks Swift "embodies the Aryan spirit", as opposed to someone like Miley Cyrus. They say Swift should be admired for staying at home and reading Jane Austin, unlike Cyrus who they say has gang-bangs with people of colour instead.
- Apparently white supremacists worry about her being surrounded by Jewish people.
- According to the article, Swift appeals to the ultra-right because her background hints that she could be a conservative, but she has never confirmed this.
