As Bangerz Tour Reaches Halfway Point, Prices For Miley Cyrus Tickets Rising

BANGERZ TOUR 9

Miley Cyrus has 17 dates remaining on her ‘Bangerz’ Tour, passing the halfway point of her 40 show dates. After mixed reviews at the start the run, ‘Bangerz’ has gained momentum as the tour has rolled on. Through the first 23 performances, the average price for a ticket on the secondary market was $151.96. For the final 16 shows, the average price has jumped to $182.69. Cyrus played plenty of big venues such as LA’s Staples Center on the first half of the tour and still has venues such as Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Boston’s TD Garden upcoming, giving neither half of shows an advantage in venue size. With less than half the tour left, chances to see the 21-year-old in concert are decreasing and getting more expensive.

The rising price shows demand for Miley Cyrus tickets has continued to increase despite the initial media reaction surrounding the first shows. At the outset of the tour, many parents were appalled by the actions of the singer onstage, suggesting the remainder of the tour be cancelled or at least come with a warning label. At this point, it seems parents have either gotten over the controversy or they’re the ones putting the tickets on the secondary market as primary tickets are still available for most show dates. Though without an overwhelming amount of tickets on the secondary market, the former seems more likely than the latter.

The cheapest Miley Cyrus concert for the remainder of the tour comes April 16 at the Scottrade Center. Miley Cyrus St. Louis tickets have an average price of $150.87 and a get-in price of $37. The average price is the lowest for any of the remaining shows and the get-in price is higher than only April 3’s show at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Only one concert after the St. Louis show is under the tour average through the remainder of the tour, the next stop in Cyrus’ hometown of Nashville. ‘Bangerz’ will head into the Bridgestone Arena on April 18 with an average price of $170.31 and a get-in price of $42. The relatively low price of Miley Cyrus Nashville tickets is surprising considering artists tend to see a premium for ticket prices for concerts in their hometown, such as anytime Bruno Mars plays in Hawaii.

The next night, the tour heads to the KFC Yum! Center with a much more expensive price. While the get-in price does not change much, just $43, the average price for Miley Cyrus Louisville tickets is $236.69. The Saturday night show is the second most expensive remaining performance behind the tour finale at The Grand Theater at Foxwoods.

Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center hosts the highest get-in price for the remainder of the tour on April 22. The get-in price of $67 exceeds any other show by $18. The average price for Miley Cyrus Philadelphia tickets is also above the tour average at $198.95.

Cyrus won’t be playing Madison Square Garden, but her two shows in New York’s other venues are well above the tour average. First, Cyrus will play Barclays Center on April 5, with an average price of $230.78. She’ll return to New York for the second to last date of the tour at Nassau Coliseum on April 24. The average price for the show is currently $199.47 with a get-in price of $49. The combination of shows at Nassau and Barclays makes Miley Cyrus New York tickets one of the most demanded for any remaining city.

After a rocky start, the ‘Bangerz Tour’ seems to be hitting its stride as it nears the home stretch. With seven remaining shows sporting an average price above $200, there’s no longer a question surrounding how long Cyrus could sustain popularity with her shocking performances. With the average price continuing to to rise, she’s done more than just sustain.
