Joe Jonas on Justin Bieber's Downfall: "We All Saw It Coming"

0

Not very brotherly, Joe Jonas! The middle Jonas brother spoke out about Justin Bieber this week, commenting on the pop star's "tough time."

Jonas, 24, appears in the April issue of Scene magazine, telling the publication about his early rise to fame, "I’ve had an easier route than most. The youngsters just turning 20, the Biebers of the world, are under a microscope."

"[Bieber] is having a very tough time finding balance," he continued. "I think we all saw it coming. Your dad is your party animal -- that’s going to sum it up pretty quick. There’s an equation for some sort of explosion."

Bieber, of course, has found more than his fair share of trouble as of late, getting arrested in Miami in January after earlier brushes with the law, relationship trouble with on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez, and widespread allegations of drug use.

Jonas commented on his own behavior and that of his brothers, Nick and Kevin, this past summer. "We’re not perfect," he said in an interview with MuchMusic. "I think there’s things that public people don’t know about… Now it’s not that easy for people to get away with a lot of stuff without people finding out, right?" The trio made headlines months later in October when the band officially broke up.

He went on to make a subtle jab at Bieber, who had recently been caught peeing into a bucket in a restaurant while ranting about Bill Clinton. "We never really had the interest in doing things like peeing in buckets or anything like that," Jonas continued to MuchMusic. "We try to be careful."

Jonas is hardly the only celebrity offering advice to the young Biebs. Fellow childstar-turned-wildchild Miley Cyrus offered her two cents earlier this year. "You've got a lot of money. Pay people to make sure you don't get in trouble and party at your house," Cyrus suggested. "Buy a house, and add a club to it."

One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson kept it simple, telling Bieber, "Keep strong and keep doing what you're doing."
